Meet Marissa and Ian, two adventurous souls who decided to get married in their home-state of Colorado… until, in Marissa’s words, this happened:

“So, after 28 hours in the car together this weekend (Yay Thanksgiving roadtrips!), Ian and I have realized a few things. First, we have been stressing about planning this huge, 150 person wedding and were starting to lose sight of the end goal – being married! Second, having a big, blow out party isn’t exactly our style. We’re much more go with the flow and want to remember our day as being relaxing, fun and stress-free. We’re really happy with this decision and feel like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders. At the end of the day we just want to get married and be surrounded by the people we love. A smaller, more intimate wedding is much more our style.”

And after all was said and done, they told us it was the best trip of their lives.
